Summary of the work Deliver this continuous improvement project at pace to help us achieve a better, user centred website, and migrate an existing website into the main site for the Crown Commercial Service. Expected Contract Length The contract is for 19 weeks of work from the start date of the contract Latest start date Tuesday 5 November 2019 Budget Range Maximum of £126,000 broken down as: Development work for CI £50,400 Development work for Here to Help £75,600 Why the Work is Being Done Following the successful refresh of our existing site further work is needed to continuously improve and iterate crowncommercial.gov.uk to address user needs. We also need to migrate https://ccsheretohelp.uk/ into crowncommercial.gov.uk. The work must be complete 19 weeks from the date the contract is awarded. Problem to Be Solved Having launched our new site as an MVP in April 2019, we are looking to build upon this work to iterate and maximise the functionality of our website. We now want to implement new functionality to make it a more user friendly site, and bring in https://ccsheretohelp.uk/ We also need to make sure that we have a sustainable and scalable marketing platform on a gov.uk domain. To achieve this we need to migrate content into the main crown commercial website once appropriate templates have been designed. This requirement is for the development work for this project. Who Are the Users As a customer I need to find products/services and suppliers easily So I can buy goods/services compliantly, easily and save money As a supplier I need to know about opportunities I can get involved in So I can bid for opportunities As a content manager I need an intuitive interface So I can successfully complete a range of tasks As an organisation: I want to rationalise our online presence into a single point of entry So our customers and suppliers can access the services they need quickly and easily, with a consistent user experience Early Market Engagement Not Applicable Work Already Done Crowncommercial.gov.uk is already live and the next round of continuous improvement (CI) has been refined. There are a number of templates for the CI already developed, but some design work may still be needed. Existing Team The team will be working with the head of content, representatives from the marketing team, and other internal stakeholders in CCS, and another supplier who will provide delivery; product management; User Research and Interaction Design. The successful supplier will need to work with our existing supplier(s) to handover knowledge and skills Current Phase Beta Skills & Experience • • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience of Salesforce to Wordpress APIs. – 1% • • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience of working with a headless CMS. – 1% • • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working with Symfony. – 1% • • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services). – 1% • • Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience developing bespoke Wordpress environments. – 1% • • Demonstrate how you apply a user centred approach to development and delivery. – 1% • • Demonstrate experience developing and designing to meet the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. – 1% • • Have or be willing to get Cyber Essentials Certification(Yes/No) -1% Nice to Haves • • Demonstrate 2 years experience of previous work with government departments in a similar field 1% • • Demonstrate at least 2 years experience of knowledge and use of Government Design Standards and principles or similar – 1% Work Location We are based in CCS’ London office at 151 Buckingham Palace Road, but remote working (for example from your own space) is also acceptable as long as provision is made for meetings on either site. Working Arrangments After project kick off during the sprint phase we would like daily stand ups (remotely) and possible weekly face to face meetings either at our London office or at your working location. Expenses for supplier travel must be incorporated into the budget proposal - all expenses shall be in line with Cabinet Office Policy. Security Clearance Not Applicable Additional T&Cs Potential Bidders must already be or will sign up to the CCS e-Sourcing Suite for the Further Competition Stage. What is the timeline after the closing date? When do you plan to shortlist applicants and when will you require written proposals? In response to your query Shortlist completion is anticipated to occur one and a half weeks after submission deadline.Suppliers that are successful at the shortlist stage will receive an up to date timetable surrounding the further evaluation stage timelines. It is anticipated that there will be at least 1 week for completing and writing written proposals from notification of success at the shortlist stage. 2.
