Single Party Framework Agreement for the Provision of Catering Services for the Jockeys and Grooms Canteen for HRI Racecourses Ltd.

Tender description

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourses Ltd. consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. Cork Racecourse Mallow, while not a subsidiary of Horse Racing Ireland, is closely affiliated with HRI Racecourses Ltd. For the purpose of this tender process it is anticipated that only Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse and Navan Racecourse will enter into contracts under this Framework Agreement. However the Contracting Authority reserves the right to enter into subsequent contract for the remaining two racecourses if the need arises. Three of the four racecourses owned and managed by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) require a Catering Service for the Jockey’s and Grooms’ Canteen for all racedays using existing canteen facilities. There are an approximate 62 race meeting a year, please see detailed specification and the fixture list for 2019 in Appendix 5 in the attached ITT as a guide.
