Railway-track maintenance services

Tender description

This prior information notice is to advise potential suppliers of track works and resources that Transport for London (TfL) will be holding a supplier briefing from 9.00 a.m. on 18.9.2019 where it will outline its proposals for the procurement of its planned programme of works for 2021/22 and beyond in respect of track maintenance services, safety critical support services and track renewal and enhancement works within depots and tunnels. If your company would like to attend the event please confirm for attendance by 9.00 a.m. Monday 16th September. Invites to the briefing event will be made at TfL’s discretion and will be subject to the terms issued with the invitations. Attendees at the supplier event will be asked to complete a short questionnaire pertaining to the presentation and based on the responses received, suppliers may be invited to attend individual feedback meetings. Currently TfL supports its programme of track maintenance and renewal and enhancement works to the track environment by utilising contingent labour resources secured though zero value framework agreements. Its requirements for safety critical staff are also secured through the same mechanism. In the future it is planned to implement a new delivery model where the supply chain is more accountable for the delivery management of the required works and services and in return TfL will provide a greater contractual commitment to suppliers in respect of annual programmes of work providing greater certainty of workload.
