Pre Qualification Questionnaire for Removal and Safe Disposal of Hazardous Waste

Tender description

The Contracting Authority proposes awarding a Contract for the provision of Removal and Safe Disposal of Hazardous Waste from Bus Eireann Locations for a three year period. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend this Contract(s) for a further period of 12 or 24 months. The scope of the contract is expected to be but not limited to: 1. Providing the necessary resources and capacity to achieve the Contract objectives such as: • The collection and disposal of hazardous waste as required from BÉ depots • The cleaning of drainage pipes • The removal and disposal of oily rags and supply of oily rags bins • The removal and disposal of oily filters and supply of oily filters bins • The removal and disposal of waste antifreeze • The cleaning of tanks/interceptors • The removal of waste oil • The removal of light tubes • The removal of batteries • The removal of paint • The removal of coolant • The removal of glass 2. Manage the Contract in an effective, efficient and responsible manner to include: • Complying with legislation on Health and Safety • Complying with legislation on Employment and Equality • Complying with legislation as contained in the • Waste Management Act 1996, and 2001 as amended, • Waste Management (Movement of Hazardous Waste) Regulations 1998, • Council Regulation (EEC) No. 259/93 on shipments of waste, including • regulations made under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Acts 1992 and 2003, and • regulations made under the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to waste management. • Possessing the requisite Waste Collection Permits (WCP) and licenses from relevant Local Authorities (LAs) further to Section 34 of the Waste Management Act (WMA) 1996 – 2003; Waste Management (Collection Permits) Regulations, 2001 • Protection of Environment Act 2003 • All relevant amendments.
