Tender description

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the authority intends to put in place an agreement for the provision of legal advice services to be utilised by UK Central Government Departments, and other public sector bodies to be identified in the contract notice. It is intended that this agreement will be the recommended vehicle for all legal services in respect of a number of general specialisms, finance specialisms and complex projects, required by UK Central Government Departments. Indicative lots will be: Lot 1: General Legal Services; Lot 2: Financial and Complex Legal Services. CCS wishes to establish a panel of full service law firms to provide advice and services in relation to a range of projects, disputes and other matters. Indicative specialisms include: — public law, — competition law, — EU law, — contracts, — construction, — corporate, — information law including data protection, — dispute resolution, — employment, — environment, — franchising, — health and safety, — information technology, — intellectual property, — litigation, — non-complex finance, — outsourcing, — partnership, — pensions, — planning, — projects/PFI/PPP, — public procurement, — real estate/estate finance, — restructuring/insolvency, — tax. CCS wishes to establish a panel of law firms to provide specialist legal services in connection with finance and complex matters. Indicative specialisms include: — highly complex/innovative projects, — corporate finance, — rescue, restructuring of strategically important entities, — financial services, market and competition regulation, — investment and commercial banking, — insurance/re-insurance, — investment/asset management, — equity and debt capital markets, — asset finance, — highly complex transactions in regulated markets/environments, — high value, complex mergers/acquisitions.
