LBN - Climate Change Emergency Citizens’ Assembly

Newham Council is inviting applications from suitable organisations to design, co-ordinate and deliver a three-phase Citizens' Assembly on climate change to take place in November 2019. The Citizens' Assembly will bring together a broadly representative group of Newham's residents to deliberate in an informed and facilitated manner on the issue of climate change. The recommendations reached by the Assembly will be communicated to members and officers of the Council, as well as the local community. These recommendations will be given prioritised consideration in the formulation of Newham Council's strategy to tackle climate change. The closing date for submissions is Thursday 19 September at 12:00noon.
