Construction of a new road, including 2 bridges. One of the bridges will cross a railway. The site is in the townland of Ballygarraun, Athenry, Co. Galway. The works are a continuation of the Phase 1 roadworks that were completed in 2010. Phase 1 links the M6 Motorway and regional Road R348. Phase 2 will extend northwards from the R348 and will include the following, along with other works: — single carriageway over 600 m in length, — footway/cycleway of varying widths and length, — a roundabout, — a road over rail bridge, — a road over road bridge, — earthworks, — fencing, — safety barrier systems and parapets, — drainage, — signing and lining, — lighting, — works for statutory authorities, — private and public utilities inclusive of diversion works, — ducting and chambers, — accommodation works and water supplies.
