Accredited Laboratory Services for the collection and analysis of samples of groundwater, surface-water and leachate from Ballaghveny landfill, and, the reporting the results of analysis

Tender description

In 2019 Tipperary County Council will commence a water monitoring programme at its Ballaghveny landfill situated at Woodville, Ballymackey, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, namely monitoring of groundwater, surface water and landfill leachate. The number of monitoring locations is anticipated to be as follows, up to: 36No. groundwater; and, 13No. surface-water; and, 6No. Leachate Note: The number of locations from which samples are taken may reduce if conditions result in unavailability of liquid to sample, e.g. prolonged spell(s) of dry weather. Furthermore following the consideration of results the Contracting Authority may deem alternative suite(s) is(are) more appropriate to a particular location, e.g. GW Suite GW2 instead of GW Suite GW1 for a number well locations, SW Suite SW3 instead of SW Suite SW2 for a number of surface water locations, etc.. The groundwater, surface-water and leachate parameters to be analysed for each Sample Suite are set out in the attached excel sheet titled ‘Ballaghveny Water Monitoring’ and includes reference to sample locations, sample type, sample frequency, limits of detection, etc. Notes are provided on the top each sub-folder of each Sample Suite giving an indication of options for each a particular suite. The Contractor will be required to provide all sample containers to and collect all samples from the landfill and to provide accredited laboratory services to analyse all of the Sample Suites selected.
