Ashford Borough Council is seeking a skilled and experienced company to deliver Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Employers Agent services to bring forward the mixed-use town centre redevelopment known as Vicarage Lane. The procurement process is concerned with testing the companies skills and experience and their financial terms to enable the Council to select a preferred company. The Council and its Property Consultant, Gen2 will manage the tender process through the Kent Business Portal. The majority of the site is owned by Ashford Borough Council. Concept design proposals for the site have been prepared by architects Ash Sakula and following several iterations and consultation with stakeholders comprise: • the part-demolition of the main bingo hall to reveal the view to the iconic St Mary’s Church • retention of the lower high street frontage with the creation of a multi-purpose indoor event space seating 120 • the creation of a pleasant pedestrian route through the site and a new public square and event space • 61 new homes and residential parking • Employment uses with associated car parking • Opportunities for shops, restaurants and cafés Keywords: Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Employers agent, Mixed use development, Ashford Town Centre
