Norfolk County Council's public sector shared legal service, nplaw, is seeking to replace its current case management system to a system more suited to its expanding casework and types of work. nplaw is seeking to replace its current case management system. nplaw currently works for public sector clients but is expanding its client base, diversifying the markets in which it seeks to operate and may in the future transfer the business to an Alternative business structure (ABS) and requires a case management system that can handle both of these work streams, and as such the system chosen will need to be able to record time worked on cases and produce billing reports. nplaw requires the following features of its legal case management system: (a) a client portal; (b) a mobile application for staff working in court or meeting clients; (c) accounts package — the solution must have a fully integrated accounts package; (d) a fully integrated case management system; (e) full integrated workflow with alerts such as SMS and email; (f) fully integrated COLP and COFA compliance including training records; (g) the solution must be able to integrate secure email into the outlook package such as CJSM system/service provided and managed by the Ministry of Justice.
