The University of Sussex is seeking to bring about the transformation of the current campus IT network to deliver the foundations of a future digital campus and provide an excellent IT Wi-Fi and network service. This seeks to support the Smart Sussex vision where technology is used to support the realisation of genuinely transformative learning experiences and enable Sussex researchers to pursue world-leading research. The purpose of this PIN is to conduct initial pre-procurement market testing in relation to the Network Refresh Upgrade procurement. This PIN is issued solely for the purpose of alerting the market to the anticipated procurement and to invite interested parties to complete a questionnaire. The aim is to understand the market, delivery models and the solutions available. This PIN does not constitute a call for competition. Any subsequent procurement will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Participation or non-participation in this pre-procurement market engagement process shall not prevent any supplier from participating in a potential future procurement, nor place any supplier at an advantage or disadvantage in a potential future procurement. Participation in this pre-procurement market engagement process will be at each supplier’s own cost and expense.
