Tender description

Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) is a bespoke trading entity, an arm’s length body of the Ministry of Defence. It manages a vast range of complex projects supporting all the equipment and services that the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force need to operate effectively. DE&S is undertaking an initial market engagement to shape the development of a new 2-year support model for Primavera Toolset Support. The support model will become operative from August 2020, following an extensive knowledge transfer from the incumbent supplier, planned for Q2 2020. This support model has been divided into 2 PINs. PIN 1 is Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) and PIN 2 is Application Support. PIN 1: It is anticipated that a specialist Oracle managed service provider, with experience of the Primavera technology stack, will work with an established UK Cloud managed services partner of their choice, to own the overall delivery of the DE&S IaaS and PaaS requirement. Once the requirement has been developed, the procurement will be competed via a restricted OJEU procurement which includes a PQQ down selection and ITT process.
