Tender description

Leicester City Council (LCC) have secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and LCC Air Quality action plan to install an additional 20 (plus) public electric vehicle charging points at various locations throughout the city of Leicester. This is a strategic move to encourage citizens, and visitors to Leicester, to move away from conventional methods of transport and move towards more environmentally friendly modes of transportation. In addition, we have secured separate funding from the Office for low emission vehicles (OLEV) for 28 additional EVC points for our taxi infrastructure at various points throughout the City of Leicester. This is aimed to assist the Council’s vision of making the city compliant with all EU air quality targets by 2020. In addition, we have secured separate funding from the Office for low emission vehicles (OLEV) for 28 additional EVC points for our taxi infrastructure at various points throughout the City of Leicester. This is aimed to assist the Council’s vision of making the city compliant with all EU air quality targets by 2020. We will be looking to install a selection of points, of various power outputs (7 kw, 11 kw, 22 kw and 50 kw), at a number of locations throughout the City. These will be a selection of wall and floor mounted units dependent on the demands of the location. Site visits to the initial proposed sites are available on request which would take place during the period 2nd September to the 6.9.2019 inclusive.
