Request for early supplier dialogue: strategic partners to help develop behavioural change capability within Public Health Wales. Public Health Wales (PHW) is seeking to invest in a range of behavioural change capabilities in order to influence policy and decision makers, influence front line staff and influence the public in support of improved population health. PHW already has a small behavioural change team which currently provides specialist input to a range of PHW’s key health improvement programmes. We are seeking to increase the breadth and depth of behavioural change support offered within PHW but also to other strategic partners in support of public health outcomes. To help us build this team, we now require early dialogue with external organisations with behavioural change specialisms to help us refine our thinking further. Following this we anticipate procuring 1 or more organisations to enter into a strategic partnership with us to help us develop this capability. PHW is keen to hold early discussions with organisations with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas, either in person at PHW’s Cardiff Offices or remotely by Skype/phone. Behavioural change theory and science, including psychological theories and models of behaviour, behavioural economics, sociological and/or anthropological approaches, organisational behaviour and organisational change. Research, analysis and evaluation methods in relation to behavioural change interventions application of behavioural approaches to influence public policy, front line staff delivering public services and the public development of behavioural science-informed interventions, including trials developing organisational capability to: 1) Provide thought leadership; 2) Deliver advice and build capacity in other PHW teams and external organisations; and 3) Actively deliver behavioural change initiatives. Application of data science and digital technology in support of the above areas.
