Dodder Greenway – Phase 1 – Kiltipper Park

Kiltipper Park is approx. 50ha in area and comprises of a large Greenfield site with natural field boundaries and wild hedgerows. The park is currently managed by South Dublin County Council and is mainly used by recreational dog walkers. It is accessed from three sides; Kiltipper Road, Kiltipper Woods and the Bohernabreena Road. The works will mainly comprise of the following: • New car parking facilities at Kiltipper Road (30 spaces). This car park will use porous pavers Bod Pave 85 (or similar approved) and extensive landscaping to retain the parks bio diverse nature. • New pedestrian/cyclists paths within Kiltipper park • Upgrade of existing blacktop surface within Kiltipper Park that will comprise of the future Dodder Greenway including landscaping. • New Pedestrian crossings on the Bohernabreena Road and Kiltipper Road. • New shared surface along the Kiltipper Road that has a boundary with Kiltipper Park • New entrance onto Kiltipper Road to facilitate new car park at Kiltipper Park • Hedgerow reinstatement within Kiltipper Park to replenish hedgerows affected by works. • Public Lighting along Kiltipper Road • ESB diversion works adjacent to Kiltipper Park • New entrance treatment works for park entrance at Kiltipper Road, Kiltipper Woods and Bohernabreena Road.
