Provision of Courier Services at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Provision of courier services at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Lot 1: Ad hoc collection and delivery of specimens, blood products or tissues and a range of other consignments including the collection and delivery of controlled substances, not falling within the scope of ADR/CDG. As required specimens, blood products and tissues will be packaged as UN3373 where appropriate (packing instruction P650). Infectious substances assigned to UN No 3373 which are packed and marked in accordance with this packing instruction are not subject to any other requirements of ADR. The provider is responsible for carrying specimens in their vehicle under UN3373 regulations. This lot will require the provider to demonstrate secure and auditable transport solutions under UN3373 regulations. This service will require a collection within 60 minutes and booking should be by a Username and password controlled online system. Bidders are required to submit a pence per mile price and indicate any call out/minimum charge where applicable. Lot 2: Collection and delivery of patient records, documents, data and property (up to a maximum weight of 25 kg and/or 1 m2 volume) which will require the contractor to have secure transportation solutions which are in line with the Trust’s data protection, safeguarding and governance requirements. Lot 3: The collection of bulky items such as machinery, specialist equipment or palletised goods (exceeding 25 kg and/or 1 m2 volume) which will require manual handling and loading solutions utilising appropriate vehicles equipped for such tasks including removals or office moves where multiple items are required to be moved from area to area that may require packing specialist manual handling.
