Tender description

The authority is seeking tenders for the provision and operation of a garden waste treatment service, in 4 separate lots, bidders may bid for 1 or more lots. Bidders will be required to provide a treatment and possibly a bulking and haulage (if required) service; the use of subcontractors is acceptable for any part of the service. Bulking and haulage will be required for WCA waste (if applicable and may be required for HRC waste). However, the authority may choose to direct deliver HRC waste if it is more economical to do so. This decision will be determined by factors of distance and cost and is detailed in the ITT. The authority has divided the contract waste into 4 lots, using waste collection authority geographical areas, and household recycling centre, garden waste arising. Lot 1: Forest of Dean. (Garden Waste from collections by Forest of Dean District Council and from Oak Quarry HRC). (Garden Waste from collections by Gloucester City Council and Stroud District Council and from the Hempsted and Pyke Quarry HRCs).
