Commissioning Opportunities in Dorset to Support Children and Families, including Short Breaks for Children who are Disabled

Dorset Council have setup an event on Tuesday 24th September to work with organisations in order to get the right services in place for children and families in Dorset. There are two parts to this event; Short Breaks for Children who are Disabled in the morning and a range of Family Support Service opportunities in the afternoon. Due to limited capacity register 1 representative for either one or both parts of the event at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/commissioning-opportunities-in-dorset-to-support-children-and-families-tickets-68273059559 In the morning sessions we plan to share some detail with you about Short Breaks for Children who are Disabled and have discussions to explore challenges and develop solutions with you, this will also help to shape the future tendering opportunity. The Dorset Parent Carer Council are part of the Short Breaks project group and a number of parent representatives are due to be attending the event who have experience of Short Breaks. For the afternoon session there are a range of family support services due to be tendered (family support packages and family link workers) and others in planning, yet to be confirmed. We would like to share an overview of these with you and answer any questions you may have. (We will confirm further details of the confirmed tenders closer to the event.)
