Westminster City Council invites tenderers to submit a bid to deliver Extra Care services for older people aged 55 over who require 24-hour care and support because of their physical, learning or mental ill-health or disability while living in their self-contained home with their own front door and tenancy, and have a legal right to occupy the property. The service: 60, Penfold Street Scheme The extra care housing scheme is for up to 53 people aged over 55. There are 51 flats, these are comprised of 8 bedsits within a dedicated dementia unit, 41 x 1-bed and 2 x 2-bed flats within the general unit. We are looking for providers who will deliver: • a resident focussed innovative approach • strong communication with all stakeholders • a good understanding of the needs of our residents • good understanding of personalisation and the impact The service will need to meet a range of complex needs of residents, while having a good understanding of housing and tenancy issues and of older people who require 24-hour care and support because of their physical, learning or mental ill-health or disability while living in extra care housing.
