Tender description

In January 2019 Cornwall Council declared a climate emergency and committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030. To this end the Council is seeking to embark upon a programme of solar panel installations across its own estate and with partner organisations and community groups. An initial amount of 16 000 000 GBP has been allocated to this programme. While the Council has a suite of construction contracts which could be used in order to ensure a consistent high standard of both parts and installation, the Council is investigating setting up a framework of providers. The types of schemes being considered include installation on existing and new buildings, ground mounted arrays, car ports and replacements of existing panels. The Council is interested in speaking to potential suppliers and installers to understand views on potential lotting strategies, contract structures and the delivery of social value.
