Tender description

The contract is for the provision of a help to live at home service. It is for a period of 7 years with an option to extend for a further 2 year then a further 1 year period. The contract is divided into 4 lots each pertaining to a specific geographical zone within the Borough of South Tyneside. All zones include home independence service, home independence and crisis response service, extra care — independence and well-being support. Lot 1: the anticipated annual value range 3 200 000 GBP — 5 266 019 GBP (including future planned extra care schemes); Lot 2: the anticipated annual value range 3 300 000 GBP — 5 635 482 GBP (including future planned extra care schemes); Lot 3: the anticipated annual value range 2 300 000 GBP — 4 056 138 GBP (including future planned extra care schemes); Lot 4: the anticipated annual value range 3 350 000 GBP — 4 443 656 GBP. The value ranges reflect the current and proposed extent of the services and an allowance of up to 25 % for anticipated additional future demand. Home independence service typical weekly hours 2 937, home independence and crisis response service 336 weekly hours, extra care — independence and well-being support service within Campbell Court which includes 700 individual 1-2-1 hours + 168 core hours. During the term of this contract there are plans in place to build an extra care facility within this zone, the facility could include up to 80 apartments. The successful provider will be expected to provide the care and support services within this facility. The anticipated cost of care and support is estimated to be in the region of 939 640 GBP per annum based on 1 300 hours at 20/21 rate of 13,90 GBP. This may be ready in 2022. Lot 1: the anticipated annual value range 3 200 000 GBP — 5 266 019 GBP (including the future planned extra care scheme). Home independence service typical weekly hours 3 763, home independence and crisis response service 336 weekly hours. During the term of this contract there are plans in place to build an extra care facility within this zone, the facility could include up to 120 apartments. The successful provider will be expected to provide the care and support services within this facility. The anticipated cost of care and support is estimated to be in the region of 1 445 600 GBP per annum based on 2 000 hours at 20/21 rate of 13,90 GBP. This may be ready in 2023. Lot 2: the anticipated annual value range 3 300 000 GBP — 5 635 482 GBP (including the future planned extra care scheme). Home independence service typical weekly hours 2 578, home independence and crisis response service 336 weekly hours. During the term of this contract there are plans in place to build an extra care facility within this zone, the facility could include up to 80 apartments. The successful provider will be expected to provide the care and support services within this facility. The anticipated cost of care and support is estimated to be in the region of 1 445 600 GBP per annum based on 1 300 hours at 20/21 rate of 13,90 GBP. This may be ready in 2023. Lot 3: the anticipated annual value range 2 300 000 GBP — 4 056 138 GBP (including the future planned extra care scheme). Home independence service typical weekly hours 3 110, home independence and crisis response service 336 weekly hours, Extra care — independence and well-being support service within Bramble Court and includes 700 individual 1-2-1 hours + 168 core hours.
