WP4 Magnets is tasked with scoping out different magnet technologies, designs and tools to ensure low cost of electricity, high availability and minimal footprint. The main conductor technologies considered are NbTi or Nb3Sn (LTS) and REBCO-based high temperature superconductors (HTS), although other options can be considered.
