Tender description
Newcastle City Council are seeking to publish 5 tender opportunities (6 contracts) that provide homelessness prevention and relief responses. The contract term will be 4 years (2 years with 2 x 12-month options to extend) to commence on 1.10.2019, for all contracts: opportunity 1: homelessness prevention and relief service in the East of Newcastle upon Tyne; Opportunity 2: homelessness prevention and relief service in the West of Newcastle upon Tyne; Opportunity 3: citywide supported accommodation for homeless people (2 separate contracts available); Opportunity 4: supported accommodation and resettlement support for young people aged 16-24; Opportunity 5: integrated accommodation and floating support service for people with mental health problems. Providers can choose to bid for as many or as few of the contracts, however: — any one prime contractor can only be awarded one of opportunities 1 and 2, — any one prime contractor can only be awarded one of the contracts in opportunity 3. Overall aim of the service is to delivers an integrated response that prevents and relieves homelessness through the provision of: — preventative outreach support, — homelessness relief accommodation, which is short-term homelessness relief accommodation and crisis ‘emergency beds’, — housing first, — resettlement support.
