Provision of an integrated community equipment service for Somerset. Somerset County Council is seeking to hear from organisations that might be interested in delivering an Integrated Community Equipment/Loan Service (ICES) for the people of Somerset. This is an exciting time of integration across Somerset, with a real focus on improving people’s lives through promoting their independence and working much more collaboratively across statutory services to ensure that they get the best possible help, when they need it. One of the key strands to this is helping people to stay well and independent in their own homes, having the right equipment and adaptations to live well. Somerset want to form a long term strategic partnership with organisations that want to achieve the same, but recognise that innovation and technology are key and most importantly, recognising that there are people at the heart of our business. As part of this process SCC would like to hear views from a range of market providers about the future options and is inviting organisations to attend a soft market testing event on 30.8.2019. It is anticipated that any new arrangements would commence on 3.8.2020. Soft market testing event: A soft market testing event will be held on Friday 30th August and Somerset County Council is inviting organisations to attend that might be interested in delivering these services, either individually or in partnership with others. The event will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. Somerset County Council is keen to hear feedback from a range of providers as part of the wider consultation for these services. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset County Council to undertake a procurement procedure.
