Tender description

Provision of scientific and technical services to the FSA and its scientific advisory committees (SACs) on food and feed: provision of services for the searching, access, collation and analysis of scientific literature, reports and publications. The FSA requires from time to time expert services to support its work and that of its SACs to carry out structured searching to identify and source scientific literature relevant to specific topics and tasks, with on some occasions the filtering of the papers and the drawing out of some information from the papers in a way that will depend on the specific reason that the information is required. In general, the support will contribute to the provision of scientific and technical advice to the FSA on matters relating to food and animal feed. The information is needed for evidence in the risk assessment and technical advice work of the SACs and their Joint Expert Groups and will ultimately inform risk-based standards and controls and decisions on approval of regulated products.
