Repair and maintenance services of radiotelephony apparatus

The operational radio system, is a fully integrated digital radio system based on tetra standards allowing voice and data modes across the London Underground networks for railway users, TFL’s aim is to procure a compliant radio repair solution for its handportable radios. TfL’s aim is to procure a compliant, repair and return service for damaged and defective MTH800 radio. Approximately 50 radios per month are likely to require repair. Motorola MTH800 TETRA Radio Repairs to be carried out to component level and include but not limited to the following: — control logic board, — case/housing damage, — connector, — keyboard display, — receiver, — full test/tune, — audio amplifier, — transmitter, — switch/pot, — power supply, — code plug/software. TfL wishes to engage with the market to help shape how it might define, procure and contract for this solution through assessing current market capabilities and appetite for the service identified in the high level requirement capture. Interested suppliers are requested to provide a 2 page case study of how they have previously carried out this type of service.
