Summary of the work For the Windows10/Office Upgrade Project by 31/01/2020 - Package and delivery via APP-v and SCCM of all required DVLA applications - Testing, defect management, project reporting for all applications - Documentation and build scripts to support all applications - Knowledge transfer/training to DVLA support staff to allow transition into support Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 6 Months (+ 6 Months) Latest start date Monday 29 July 2019 Maximum Day Rate Max £750 day rate (exclusive of VAT and inclusive of any T&S) Who Speclialist Work With Specialist will work directly with the End User Compute project team responsible for all elements of the new Windows 10/Office Desktop. What Specialists Work On The End User Compute team in ITOST have a requirement for a skilled APP-V developer/engineer to deliver the Windows 10 and Office upgrade projects. DVLA has over 300 Applications that need re-platform and testing to support a new Enterprise operating system and software landscape. The specialist will be required to develop and package all software that will be deployed onto the new Windows 10/Office desktop platform. To be responsible for APP-V Sequences, development and documentation and testing services as well as SCCM deployment, configuration and bespoke application packages. Ownership and development across all software layers. Skills & Experience • Have demonstrable evidence and experience working with APP-V 5.x / 4.6 and SCCM 2012 • Have demonstrable evidence and experience working with MSI packaging • Have demonstrable evidence and experience working with Power Shell • Have demonstrable evidence and experience working with Active Directory / Group Policy • Have demonstrable evidence and experience working with Windows 10 / Windows 7 Nice to Haves • Have demonstrable evidence and experience of SCCM 2007 • Have demonstrable evidence and experience of Service Now • Have demonstrable evidence and experience of Windows Server • Have demonstrable evidence and experience of PKI Work Location DVLA, Morriston, Swansea Working Arrangments 5 days per week Security Clearance Due to the nature of the content and configuration to be worked on, SC Clearance is a requirement. Additional T&Cs We currently see this role as sitting outside of IR35, as the candidates would not hold a fixed office position and will not have direct day-to-day direction or supervision. Due to the delivery timescale/criticality of this project DVLA require a specialist that can achieve SC clearance prior to expected start date. 2.
