Tender description
Purchase of instrument to measure Ions in PM2.5 Ambient Air Monitoring for the Particle Concentration & Numbers Network. The instrument(s) will be used on the Particle Concentration and Numbers Network. The instruments need to meet the following requirements and be delivered this financial year (no later than end Feb 2019) 1 Hourly measurement of ionic component concentration in particulate matter (PM2.5) in the ambient atmosphere, specifically SO42-, Cl-, NO3-, Na+, NH4+, Ca2+ , K+, and Mg2+, in the range 0-50 ug/m3, with <25% uncertainty. 2 Standalone operation between servicing intervals of 2 weeks 3 Appropriate hardware (e.g. computer) and software for data handling and processing, with internet capabilities for remote connection to monitor equipment and access data remotely. 4 Compatible with UK electricity supplies (230V AC)
