Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement-Midlands (referred to as the commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified providers to deliver school aged immunisation services for the following lots: Lot 1: Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR); Lot 2: Lincolnshire; Lot 3: Northamptonshire. As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful bidder(s) for a period of 3 years [with the commissioner having the option to extend the contract for up to a further 2 years]. The contract start date will be 1.9.2020. The aim of this service is to offer a safe and effective immunisation service to school age children. The objectives are to: — maximise overall uptake achieving ‘herd immunity’ wherever possible, — improve uptake in areas of historically low uptake, — protect individuals and communities against vaccine preventable diseases. Immunisations to be included within this service are: — Seasonal flu immunisation including Live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) and Intramuscular (IM) vaccines in line with national roll out plans, this includes special schools (students and staff), — tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV), — meningococcal groups A, C, W and Y (MenACWY), — human papillomavirus (HPV) — girls and boys, — (measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) catch-up. The aim of this service is to offer a safe and effective immunisation service to school age children.
