Tender description

NEL on behalf of NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a Wheelchairs service to the population serviced by the CCG. The Authority is seeking to procure an integrated wheelchair service for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG area (Annex N — CCG map). The priority for this service is to ensure those with complex, long-term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair, quickly and with appropriate information and support. The Authority is seeking to procure an integrated wheelchair service for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG area (Annex N — CCG map). The priority for this service is to ensure those with complex, long-term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair, quickly and with appropriate information and support. The full service will cover: — assessment and prescribing, — supply and provision of powered and non-powered chairs, — delivery and collection, — repairs and general maintenance, — re-use/recycling, cleaning and decontamination and planned preventative maintenance, — rehabilitation engineering services, — specialist seating (risers) including cushions and accessories. A lead provider will be fully accountable for the delivery of the whole service. The contract value for the term is 9 024 000 GBP inclusive of VAT. The contract term is 3 years with an option to extend for 2 years.
