Tender description

The University of West of England is planning to purchase a system to provide a wide range of intelligent campus functions. The system will be required to interface with existing business management systems, alarm, and control systems on the campus. The objectives of the intelligent campus system are to: — improve space utilisation, and space planning, — improve security behaviours through system integrations, — reduce carbon footprint and energy consumption, — automate certain areas within Estates and facilities operations The University of West of England operates a number of campuses in and around Bristol. It is intended that the project would be rolled out in phases. In Phase 1 the systems will be introduced as a pilot into the new Bristol Business School building (FR-X) on the Frenchay Campus. If the pilot is successful, Phase 2 the system will be extended to all buildings on the Frenchay campus where this is practical and cost-effective. Phase 3 would be the system extended to our other campuses. It is intended that the pilot would commence in early 2020. The University of West of England are currently carrying out pre-market engagement to support development of the scope and procurement procedure.
