Tender description

Building cleaning contract — 2 Lots Lot 1: 10 children centres and nurseries within North Somerset; Lot 2: tropicana event space, bay cafe, offices and Somerset Hall. Bidders can bid on one or both lots. Term is 36+24 months. Lot 1 covers the 10 children centres and nurseries that fall under the remit of North Somerset Council. One of the children’s centres (Worle) is based within a Library which is also included within the cleaning requirement. They are: — Ashcombe Nursery, — Weston Central, — Oldmixon, — Little Waves Nursery, — Worle Library and Children Centre, — Yeo Valley, — Nailsea and Backwell, — Portishead, — Early Birds Nursery/Long Ashton Children Centre, — Yatton Children Centre. In addition, the Portishead Children’s Centre requires a combined cleaner and caretaker role. More details can be found within the specification, Appendix 1. Lot 1 is a fixed requirement of hours and details of the hours required for each children centre/nursery can be found at Appendix 2. The specification includes a yearly deep clean and for some buildings, window cleaning. Lot 2 covers the Tropicana Event space, Offices, the Bay Café and Somerset Hall in Portishead. The specification for which can be found at Appendix 4. Lot 2 is a mixture of a fixed and a flexible requirement. The Bay Café, Offices and Somerset Hall will have fixed hourly requirements, whilst the Tropicana event space is a flexible requirement based on the events calendar. We will be able to provide a picture of the previous 12 months bookings to give bidders a steer on the potential volume of need. Details of the hours can be found at Appendix 5.
