Building cleaning for North Somerset Council Children's Centre's and Nurseries (Lot 1) and Tropicana Event Space, Bay Cafe, Offices and Somerset Hall (Lot 2)

North Somerset Council is looking for a Building Cleaning Contractor for its 10 Children Centre's and Nurseries (Lot 1) and the Tropicana event space, Bay Cafe, offices and Somerset Hall in Portishead (Lot 2) The tender is lotted, but contractors can bid on one or both of the opportunities, and win one or both. Lot 1 covers the 10 Children Centres and Nurseries that fall under the remit of North Somerset Council. One of the Children’s Centres (Worle) is based within a Library which is also included within the cleaning requirement. They are: • Ashcombe Nursery • Weston Central • Oldmixon • Little Waves Nursery • Worle Library & Children Centre • Yeo Valley • Nailsea & Backwell • Portishead • Early Birds Nursery/Long Ashton Children Centre • Yatton Children Centre In addition, the Portishead Children’s Centre requires a combined Cleaner and Caretaker role. More details can be found within the specification, Appendix 1. Lot 1 is a fixed requirement of hours and details of the hours required for each Children Centre/Nursery can be found at Appendix 2. We have provided photos and floor plans of each of the buildings which can be found at Appendix 10 and 11 respectively. Lot 2 Lot 2 covers the Tropicana Event space, Offices, the Bay Café and Somerset Hall in Portishead. The specification for which can be found at Appendix 4. Lot 2 is a mixture of a fixed and a flexible requirement. The Bay Café, Offices and Somerset Hall will have fixed hourly requirements, whilst the Tropicana event space is a flexible requirement based on the events calendar. We will be able to provide a picture of the previous 12 months bookings to give bidders a steer on the potential volume of need. Details of the hours can be found at Appendix 5. Both Lots have individual Specifications and Pricing Schedules. For those wishing to bid for both Lots there is also an opportunity to provide a combined lots pricing schedule. This is an OJEU Open Tender; the timescales will be managed in line with this prescribed process. The total contract value is estimated at £525,000, this is over a term of 3+2 years With the contract values split as follows: Lot 1 - £400,000 Lot 2 - £125,000 It is likely that TUPE will apply, TUPE detail will be made available upon request and a signed NDA.
