Travel management services

Tender description

The University is looking for a sole provider for all business travel services. Currently student and staff travel is under a split agreement however this could be brought into scope over the life of this contract. The University employs just under 3 000 staff across multiple departments that include academic and support services. Travel spend is via our current Travel Management Company (TMC) and Government Procurement Card (GPC), combined in the previous financial year (2017/2018) this spend was around 2 200 000 GBP. The majority of staff travel is booked via our existing TMC, however there are some spend leakages which result in employees booking their travel needs via GPC. In addition to this there is a level of self-booking and booking on behalf of colleagues i.e. PA’s and support staff and there are currently around 2 000 bookers set up with the current TMC.
