Tender description

Hampshire County Council has developed a strategic business plan for Winchester Discovery Centre with the aim of creating a modern destination for creativity and learning. As part of the proposed changes to the building, the Council wants to explore the opportunity to attract an innovation partner to work with WDC and its existing partner in the building, Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT). The Council considers there is significant potential for the innovation partner’s activities to be complementary to existing and planned events and activities in WDC and enable the Council to grow the offer for the benefit of visitors and the wider local economy. There is an opportunity for the partner to lease the Tower Room immediately, and other spaces may be available pending internal relocations and terms being agreed. In addition, our performance hall and learning rooms (which are currently under-utilised, particularly during the daytime) are available to hire. The open procedure as defined by Regulation 27 of the PCR15 will be followed. Registration and submission of proposals does not constitute an expression of interest in this/any tender. This exercise is only to gain a better understanding of the market, obtain feedback on the proposal to inform our specification and any future tender process, which is a separate process and would require further registration and appropriate assessment. Please note this PIN covers the provision of an innovation partner service contract.
