Tender description

ESP has determined a possible need to confirm the location on a number of its networks, and is considering conducting a competitive tender process at some point during the next twelve months. Within the UK utility industry, it is recognised that PAS128 surveys provide (subject to currently acceptable level of accuracy) a robust method of detecting, verifying and locating underground utilities. The services, should ESP proceed with the competition, would be restricted to performance in England, Wales and Scotland, may take up to 30 months, and would be likely to include, but may not be limited to, the conduct of PAS 128 surveys and provision of reports, associated paperwork and certification, and conversion into Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings. The purpose of putting out a PIN, is that ESP is still in the process of researching the extent to which the PAS128 services will be required across its networks. The services would require conducting PAS128 surveys on areas of ESP's networks identified by ESP, and notified / indicated as part of an invitation to tender. It is anticipated that the level of requirement is likely to exceed the minimum service thresholds.
