Tender description

The procurement is for the construction and delivery of a new Energy Centre on the Copley Close site. The Energy Centre will initially deliver heating and hot water to 337 homes at phase 7, and is designed to support future connection to 201 new homes at phase 6 of the development. Construction of phase 6 will commence shortly and is a 30-month programme. There is, therefore, a critical project dependency. The energy centre will deliver significant benefits to residents and to the Council as explained in energy strategy for the scheme, submitted as part of the phase 6 planning application. This will lead to a 35 % reduction in CO2 emissions across the site, and substantially increased reliability compared with the current life-expired plant.
