To establish a framework that will facilitate funding to heat network projects and provide projects with access to an investor base with the experience and appetite to bring projects to fruition. The heat network funding framework aims to support public sector and other organisations with a route to accessing investment for heat network projects, increasing external investment and helping to create a successful, self-sustaining heat network market. We would expect this framework to be usable as a resource for heat network investors and sponsors and that is capable of delivering both value for money investment and expert guidance to heat network projects. Services may include: — to participate in a framework of Heat Network investors aimed at bidding for investment opportunities, — to provide investment in heat networks subject to a competitive process, — the provide additional support and guidance to Heat Network sponsors to ensure the success of their project.
