Please note that this is not a competition and we are not seeking tenders at this stage. It is purely an information exercise seeking views of market operators on possible approaches that may be taken in a tender process which may be undertaken over the coming months for the following — Development of central food production facility and pantry kitchens for University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital incorporating Catering Contract. Brief requirement: (I) central food production facility (CPU) and Pantry Kitchens for University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park Hospital; (II) transportation services and facilities; (III) provision of catering services for Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital. ‘Request for Information/Market Sounding’ document includes ‘Summary of Requirements’. The HSE intends to run a competitive procurement process and the successful tenderer will fund the initial development and will recover the cost through the provision of catering services to both the University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park Hospital sites for the following customer groups: — patient, — staff, — general public/visitors (only those utilising the staff restaurants).
