Tender description

HMRC are providing early notification of a requirement to provide secure disposal of seized and abandoned goods. The requirement covers the disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous goods resulting from HMRC compliance activities with the majority of disposals being generated by Inland-Pre Clearance operations at the newly setup sites at Hayes and Milton Keynes. We will be holding a supplier day in London to further discuss the requirement, interested suppliers will need to complete a questionnaire on HMRC's SAP Ariba e-portal. The supplier day will take place week commencing 5th August. Requirement is: — secure disposals of seized and abandoned Hazardous and non-Hazardous goods: a physical security perimeter — walls, card controlled entry gates or manned reception security desks, — physical entry controls ensuring only authorised personnel allowed access including physical security for public access, delivery and loading areas, — appropriate protection against external and environmental threats including fire and flood, — disposing of materials in line with regulations: UK Law and Environmental regulations, ISO 14001, — tracking and reporting of disposals and management info: disposal certificates-time stamped, details destruction method, weight disposed, viewing of destruction at HMRC discretion, method for HMRC to track location and progress of destructions. Expected that 5-8 waste loads of 26 pallets will be generated per day, ranging from 1 500-3 000 per annum. Occasional requirement for bulk destruction of a large number of loads in a compressed period.
