Tender description

The Children and Family Act 2014 placed a requirement on Local Authorities and CCGs to ensure that a web based local offer was in place for Children, Young People and Families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). At Kirklees Council, we are looking to invest in redesigning and revitalising our Local Offer for our Children, Young People and Families and will be undertaking a competitive tender process to procure this. We are keen to engage with interested providers in this field to discuss our requirements and potential solutions in order to inform and develop our specification. The Council is looking to procure a managed solution, i.e. website content management provided by an external body. The Council is looking to commission a single provider. This approach does not exclude a lead provider who sub-contracts elements of the solution provided they maintain overall responsibility for the contract regardless of the proposed model of supply. On Monday 12th August we are holding a Market Engagement event at the Textile Centre in Huddersfield 1.30 – 3.30 to outline our principles for the Local Offer and engage in dialogue and discussion with a wide range of potential providers.
