Brief description: A qualified Solicitor/ Barrister is required of at least 5 years' experience in Prosecutions and Licensing work with an emphasis on licensing within a Local Authority. We require candidates who have experience of advising elected members in licensing committees, in relation to Licensing Act 2003 matters and taxi licensing. Candidates need to have Advocacy Experience in the Magistrates Court including contested matters and licensing appeals. General knowledge of local government law is required. Candidates need experience of providing advice to internal and external clients. They should be able to undertake workload with minimum supervision and hit the ground running. They need to have good communication and manner with elected members. Closing date: Monday 29th July 12:00pm.
