Tender description

SHGL is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) in tenancy sustainment project. The project will provide a face to face service to both families and single adult customers whose tenancy’s are at risk for a number of reasons. These may include: non-engagement with housing managers; not accessing support services; mental health concerns; physical and emotional/well-being difficulties; drug and/or alcohol misuse issues; isolation; wider family network strained; parenting issues; financial concerns; and limited or no aspiration. Depending on the complexity and nature of the issue/s placing the customer’s tenancy at risk, support provided will be expected to span an intervention period of between 4–6 months duration. It is further expected that any support provided will be delivered holistically and that any deliverer will work closely with SHG’s housing management teams and any third party support agencies that the customer is already engaging with, and/or might be able to help improve the customer’s situation and security of their tenancy. Support delivered must be done in a confidential, safe space, where customers can talk about their issues openly, in a non-judgmental and trusting relationship. The deliverer will work with the customer to better understand their issues and needs; build on their strengths; provide practical and therapeutic support; and ensure customers leave the programme with their circumstances improved and their tenancy more secure.
