Short breaks are vital services for improving the outcomes for CYP with disabilities and are therefore a fundamental element of the provision that underpins the local offer. Whilst the services within the community short breaks services portfolio does not include overnight care, it does include; day time care, educational and leisure activities and services available to assist parent carers whilst short break funding overall includes the in house short break services and direct payments packages, a significant proportion of this funding has been allocated to community short breaks. The service is divided into sub services (Lots) Large Groups 7-11 and 11-19, Small Groups 7-11 and 11-19, one to one support and sleep management service. Community Short Breaks Service; Service A – Large Groups 7-11. Community short breaks service; Service B – Large Groups 11-19. Community Short Breaks Service; Service B – Small Groups 7-11. Community Short Breaks Service; Service C – Small Groups 11-19 Community Short Breaks Service; Service E – One to One Services Community short breaks service; Service F – sleep management.
