Tender description

South Gloucestershire Council is looking for a supplier for the provision of Legionella Water Testing. Suppliers will need to meet the legislative requirements of the Health and Safety Executive Approved Code of Practice and Guidance on Regulations of the Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems (ACoP) L8 and in particular Part 2 (HSG274): The Control of Hot and Cold Water Systems. The contract duration is for 3 years with the potential to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods (total contract length up to 5 years) Suppliers will need to meet the legislative requirements of the Health and Safety Executive Approved Code of Practice and Guidance on Regulations of the Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems (ACoP) L8 and in particular Part 2 (HSG274): The Control of Hot and Cold Water Systems: To include (in accordance with the above document): — undertaking of risk assessments and production of a written control scheme (for new installations or significantly modified existing systems), — undertaking of risk management reviews and production of a written control scheme (for significantly modified existing systems), — carry out record keeping, — carry out “maintenance and monitoring” operation and inspection of hot and cold water systems, — carry out the required temperature regime programme for hot and cold water systems, — undertaking of cleaning and disinfection of services and systems. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier for an initial 3 year period with a proposed start on 1.4.2019. There is the potential for 2 additional 12 month extensions to the contract taking the total contract length up to 5 years). The Council use Supplying the South West as their e-tendering system.
