Architect Led Design Team for the Expansion of Benyon School

Tender description

The Council's requirement under this contract is for the provision of a multi-discipline design team for a school expansion construction project. The design consultancy will be required to provide a professional multi-discipline team for the employer and act as the employer's agent. A feasibility study has already been undertaken for this project and the total estimated value of the project is circa £2 Million before design fees, statutory application fees and any other disbursements. A 5% contingency fund is allowed for within this estimated sum. A full overview of the roles and responsibilities, key activities and deliverables of the members of the professional design team are contained in Appendix 2 - Specification. The main design team members will be made up of: Architect/Lead Design Consultant Principal Designer CDM2015 (Formerly CDM Coordinator) Other designers/Architectural Technicians Cost Consultant Structural Engineer Building Services Designer Clerk of Works The intention is to procure the main building contract via the traditional route and not Design & Build
