Tender description

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) is looking for a supplier to implement a Wide Area Network (WAN), Internet Breakout Connectivity, Microsoft Express Route and supporting services across the Council's locations in Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole. The supplier will be required to provide all software, hardware, connectivity, configuration and support to meet the Council’s requirements for the provision of the WAN. The Council requires currently 86 connections at 83 sites and all to be installed by the end of April 2021. The number of connections may increase or decrease during the term of the contract. It is essential that the supplier delivers a flexible service, with emphasis on scalability to meet the future IT requirements and service provision of BCP Council. The supplier will be required to provide all software, hardware, connectivity, configuration and support to meet the Council’s requirements for the provision of the WAN. The Council requires currently 86 connections at 83 sites and all to be installed by the end of April 2021. It is essential that the supplier delivers a flexible service, with emphasis on scalability to meet the future IT requirements and service provision of BCP Council. The Council will be looking to appoint a supplier in late 2019. The supplier will be required to install the Wide Area Network as soon as possible, developing an implementation and transition plan. The Council will only pay rental and support fees once a link is installed, tested and signed off by the Council. The supplier is fully responsible for the undertaking of any site visits under due diligence to ensure they accurately understand the Council’s requirements and price accordingly. The Council reserves the right to add or remove sites during the length of the contract as business demands change which may affect the requirements for the WAN service. Suppliers will need to ensure that their design as well as service delivery model is able to manage the addition and removal of sites during the term of the contract.
