Tender description
The Houses of the Oireachtas (national parliament) is currently establishing a Parliamentary Archive that will identify, safeguard, describe and preserve parliamentary records of historical value. This initiative is being undertaken under the Houses of the Oireachtas strategic plan 2016 – 2018: a parliament for the people, and is specifically aligned with its strategic objective of supporting accessibility and public engagement. The establishment of the Parliamentary Archives is being led by the Oireachtas Records Management Unit. To progress the establishment of the Parliamentary Archives, the Contracting Authority wishes to engage the services of an archival company to provide a team of up to three archivists to process 10,000 files belonging to five business units of the Oireachtas.
