Tender description
Blackpool Council has a statutory duty, under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984, to provide suitable funeral arrangements for persons who have died, other than in hospital, when there is no next of kin, nor persons willing to make suitable funeral arrangements. Blackpool Council wishes to appoint a Contractor who can clearly demonstrate the ability to meet our requirements and who offers the most economically advantageous bid. It is anticipated that the contract term will be from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2021, with the option to extend incrementally for a period of 1+ 1 years (subject to contract review and budget availability).
