Tender description

The 3 acute hospitals Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust (‘MEHT’), Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (‘SUHFT’), and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (‘BTUH’) known as the Mid and South Essex University Hospitals Group (MSEUH) have been under the direction of a single joint executive group and announced in January 2018 that the three hospitals would work to formally merge. The hospital group is starting to make its name for innovation and developing new ways of working and we need a technology platform to match. Whilst the IT Departments of the MSEUH Group have been merged into a single digital services team under the direction of a group CIO, the group still retains their three ageing and disparate IT estates with the vast majority of both infrastructure hardware and software coming towards the end of contractual support in the near future. Technology is seen as an enabler for MSEUH transformation, and the opportunity has arise.
